High BMI and Low fat, Can this be possible?

Hi,

I am 26. My weight is 193.4 lbs and my height is 5 feet 7 inches. I have checked my body fat with Fat Loss Monitor that I bought today. But I have found out something wrong in my data.

My body Fat is 18.7% and my BMI is 30.3. According to thier table, I do not fit any of area. If one person have high BMI, then s/he should high body Fat, according to thier data. I think I am kind of muscular. People said I am looked like 180lbs or less, while my actual weight is between 190~200lbs. Is this because I am kind of muscular. However, is this but is this data possible? (BMI: 30.3 and Body Fat 18.7%) Is this normal?

I smoke cigaret, about halfpack a day. Could it possibly means that I have cancer or something?

Reason I want to lose my weight is because I like basketball. I want to loss weight to 150 or less to be able to dunk. I have been work out for long time but my weight did not decreased. My stamina has been increased, but my strength did not increased, greatly.

Muscle weighs more than fat, and it is very possible to have the data you have. I know many guys who are listed as ‘obese’ in the BMI charts, but have about 5% body fat. Just because you aren’t on their chart doesn’t mean it’s false data. You weigh more than the average, and your body fat percent is average, so the muscle must be driving your weight up.
